Description

FOR POSTSECONDARY ADMINISTRATORS ONLY: This professional development training aims to deepen the understanding of our ongoing partnership between OPCTE and CareerSource South Florida.  Participants will gain insights into the range of services provided by CSSF and how these valuable resources benefit our students and our programs.  Additionally, the training will include a review of established procedures and protocols for effectively dealing with CSSF, ensuring a smooth and productive collaboration.  Through interactive discussions, participants will learn how to leverage this partnership to maximize the positive impact on students’ career development and the overall performance of their programs.  By the end of the training, attendees will be better equipped to collaborate with CSSF, harnessing the full potential of this partnership for the benefit of our students and programs as well as our industry partners.

 

Presenter Bio for Mr. Travis Kelly: 

 

Travis Kelly is an experienced Special Projects Administrator with a demonstrated history of working in the government administration industry. Currently serving as the Special Projects Administrator I at CareerSource South Florida in Miami, Florida, Travis is proficient in leadership and organization. He holds a Bachelor's Degree in Public Administration from Florida International University and is skilled in Nonprofit Organizations, Government, and Management. Travis is committed to making a positive impact in his community, and he has dedicated his career to improving the lives of individuals through workforce development initiatives. With a passion for public service and a drive to create positive change, Travis is a valuable community partner of Miami-Dade County Public Schools and the broader community in his role under CareerSource South Florida.

 

Presenter Bio for Mr. Jarvis Washington: 

 

Jarvis Washington is the Adult Programs Manager at CareerSource South Florida, where he manages programmatic and administrative activities associated with various workforce development programs. These programs are designed to provide employment and training assistance to adults under Adult Program, Refugee Program, Dislocated Workers, and/or the Disadvantaged Program. Jarvis is passionate about workforce development and enjoys making a difference in his community. He is currently pursuing a Master's Degree in Sport Management and has aspirations of making a difference in the sports management industry. Jarvis is a driven individual who is committed to achieving his goals and making a positive impact in both his personal and professional life.
